Wonder where Ford got its air-conditioner labels of Lo, Norm, Hi and Max?

I got an e-mail this morning saying...

The Goldberg Brothers - The Inventors of theAutomobile Air Conditioner

Here's a little factoid for automotive buffs or just to dazzle your friends.

The four Goldberg brothers, Lowell, Norman, Hiram, and Max, invented and developed the first automobile air-conditioner. On July 17, 1946, the temperature in Detroit was 97 degrees.

The four brothers walked into old man Henry Ford's office and sweet-talked his secretary into telling him that four gentlemen were there with the most exciting innovation in the auto industry since the electric starter.

Henry was curious and invited them into his office.
They refused and instead asked that he come out to the parking lot to their car.

They persuaded him to get into the car, which was about 130 degrees, turned on the air conditioner, and cooled the car off immediately.

The old man got very excited and invited them back to the office, where he offered them $3 million for the patent.

The brothers refused, saying they would settle for $2 million, but they wanted the recognition by having a
label, 'The Goldberg Air-Conditioner,' on the dashboard of each car in which it was installed.

Now old man Ford was more than just a little anti-Semitic, and there was no way he was going to put the
Goldberg's name on two million Fords.

They haggled back and forth for about two hours and finally agreed on $4 million and that just their first
names would be shown.

And so to this day, all Ford air conditioners show -- Lo, Norm, Hi, and Max -- on the controls.

New Tat coming soon perhaps?

I didn't expect that tattooing can be addictive. Since I got my first one back in the '90 (which was a mistake), was drunk and it was a spur of the moment thing. My second was last year which I made tons of research on which tattoo parlor to have it done.

Again, I'm thinking of getting one before the year ends. I've always love to look at dragonflies. The big eyes and stained glass wings. The eyes reminds me of how I like to see the world in a different angles. Keeping an open mind and ready on what the world will bring to me. The stained glass wings is a symbol of my personality - whimsical, colorful, mysterious (well I liked to be described as). I want my tattoo to be colorful this time. But then again, I am hesitant.

Take me home

Home by Dishwalla

I'm so sick and tired of all these things
That drag me down and I've got no where to go
They say that life is in these hands
You give everything and you give yourself away
You give and still you choke
And find yourself, you're running for the door

Come and take me home
Lead me to your door Take me where you are
Lead me to your door
At least just for a while

It's some kind of life, forever days
We're in the cold and unfamiliar way
So take this fear and fade it out It won't make me sad
'Cause I get sentimental Lord in other ways
And I don't want to let me down here anymore

So come and take me home
Lead me to your door
Take me where you are
Lead me to your door
And let me in, just let me in
And let me leave, just let me leave this world
Come on now, let me leave this world
At least just for a while And don't let I find myself,

I'm running for the door And don't let I find myself,
I'm running for the door

Come and take me home
Lead me to your door Take me where you are
Lead me to your door
Come and take me home
To your door, lead me to your door

I recently had a major breakdown and this songs resonates with me.... You know who you are.
Thank you for being such a great friend.
